You can do this as an individual, chapter group or in Family and Consumer Science Education. |

Promote personal growth and leadership development
through family and consumer science education. Focusing on the
multiple roles of family member, wage earner and
community leader, members develop skills for life through character
development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communications,
practical knowledge, career and technical preparation. |

FACTS (Families Acting for Community Traffic Safety) - National and State Program |
 |
| Improve traffic safety in your communities by reducing impaired driving and
increasing seatbelt usage through a community service project. |

Japanese Exchange Program (National and State Program) |
 |
| FCCLA members can win a scholarship to spend six weeks in Japan with a Japanese
family. It is a great opportunity to learn about another culture and family life in Japan. |

Stop the Violence/Make the Peace- National and Minnesota Program |
 |
| STOP the Violence is a peer-to-peer outreach initiative. Be empowered to
recognize, report and reduce the potential for youth violence. The program works
with the National Family, Career and Community Leaders of America program STOP the
Violence—Students Taking On Prevention; and Minnesota Department of
Education violence prevention program Make the Peace. |
